In nonfiction, choice of title usually reflects the content of the work, distinguishing it from others of similar subject. A subtitle may be included following a colon or semicolon. Translations may have a parallel title in the original language. The full title is usually printed on the title page of a book or at the beginning of an article or essay published in a book or periodical. The title given on the title page may differ from the one printed or impressed on the spine or cover. In a film or videorecording, the title is usually given in the first few frames.
